Biography:
Vicki Watkin is
based in the Learning Development and Innovation Team at Staffordshire
University. She manages research and development in to pedagogic
approaches for the design and delivery of eLearning and is presently
involved in the project management of two JISC projects; SURF: Work
Based Learning and SUNIWE - which is developing portal access to
personalised services for students. She is a chartered librarian
and worked for several years within Learning Support at Staffordshire
University, managing resources for design related subjects and developing
and delivering library and information skills training. She was
previously involved in the management of a West Midlands regional
project, Chrysalis www.chrysalisinfo.org.uk
, which established a repository and subject gateway for adult
learners .

access to resources for adult learners, focusing on, skills development;
information literacy; cultural diversity and local history.
Some of the content accessible via its repository, the e-bank, can
be reused within a non-commercial education environment.
Presentation:
The presentation will outline the issues relating to
the collation, commissioning, and organisation of the content on the
Chrysalis site. It will critically analyse the organisation and management
issues which influenced the project, particularly concentrating on
copyright, metadata and electronic access.
