TERRY BRACHER

Biography:
Terry Bracher is Local Studies Librarian,
Northamptonshire Libraries & Information Service. He
is a member of the CILIP LSG committee and secretary of its Midlands
& Anglia Sub-Group. He has a long involvement in Black
history, notably as a member of the Black & Asian Studies Association's
Archive Working Party, and is currently Chair of the Northamptonshire
Black History Project.

Summary:
The Northamptonshire Black History
Project is a unique community-led HLF funded project. Partners include
community groups, Northamptonshire REC, University College Northampton
and Northamptonshire Libraries & Information Service. It is
recording and promoting the histories and stories of Northamptonshire's
Black communities over the past 500 years and has involved over
700 people and employed over 40 sessional workers and volunteers.
