Biography: Stephanie Hoyle, Principle Librarian for Highland's SLS, Library Support Unit has worked as Principal Schools Librarian for Highland since April 1993.   

Title: Highland Schools Virtual Library - It all started with an idea to promote reading... - developing and managing an on-line resource.

Summary: My main area of responsibility is advising on the development of school libraries.    This involves a lot of travel as Highland stretches from John o' Groats in the north east to Ardnamurchan point in the south west.    Because of the nature of the area we quickly saw the advantages of ICT developments, and I have been involved with web sites since about 1998
