Biography:
Sophie Duncan is the learning project
manager for People's War. Having joined the BBC in 2002, Sophie
has managed a number of learning campaigns - including Making Sense
of the Mind - a community based project engaging people in the science
of their brains.
Sophie has over ten years of experience of engaging
adults and families in learning, particularly with science. Having
worked for the Science Museum in London developing programs and
managing the development of exhibitions, Sophie went on the work
as a program manager for Science Year - a government initiavtive
to promote science to teenagers.
Sophie has been managing the BBC People's War
project for it's second phase, which has seen the development of
a new regional infrastructure - engaging hundreds of people as volunteer
story gatherers to help contributors tell their story on the site.
