Biography: For the past four years, Peter Chapman has worked on a freelance basis as an information consultant. Alongside his work on the Professional Achievements Register, he designs Web sites, optimizes Web sites for search engine submission, and undertakes desk research.

Summary: On behalf of CILIP, Peter is compiling a Register of Professional Achievements covering CILIP office holders, Fellows, and key Library & Information Professionals. This session examines previous attempts to record biographical information about library and information professionals, describes the current status of the Register, and looks to the future development of this resource.
