NIGEL MORGAN

Biography:
Nigel Morgan was born in Neath, South
Wales and studied at the universities of Swansea and Aberystwyth.
After qualifying in 1990 he worked at Swansea Institute of Higher
Education in various library posts until 2001. His current position
is Information Specialist in the Science / Biomedical Sciences libraries
at Cardiff University and is a registered practitioner of the Higher
Education Academy. Professional interests include developing
information literacy within the biosciences and exploring the effects
of music in information skills teaching. Non-professional
interests include amateur operatics, keyboards and providing accompaniment
for concerts/musicals in the Neath area.

Summary:
A lively, interactive and entertaining
session on library induction featuring Cardiff University's Cephalonian
Method. This simple and innovative method of delivering library
induction was devised by Linda Davies and Nigel Morgan and has been
successfully used by many academic libraries across the UK. If you
are unfamiliar with the Method and are looking for a different approach
to delivering induction sessions this Autumn, come along and experience
the wonderful explosion of music, colour and audience participation
that is "the Cephalonian Method".
