Biography:
Mark Bryant is Libraries Resources
Manager for Buckinghamshire Libraries and Heritage.
Mark is a Renaissance man, with broad experience
in a wide area of public library work in Buckinghamshire and West
Sussex. He has long experience in managing the issues confronted
by lone workers and is responsible for the Buckinghamshire lone
working policy. Mark is Events organiser for the Branch and Mobile
Libraries Group of Cilip.

Summary:
Mark will be exploring the reasons
for and areas of lone working in library and information services,
identify the issues of concern to lone workers and their managers,
compare those issues with the challenges faced by lone workers in
other fields and outline the positive benefits of lone working.
He will pay particular concern to the challenges of managing and
supporting the lone worker.
