LINDA CONSTABLE

Biography: Linda is an information management professional with experience of: managing and developing a wide range of service developments in a local, regional, and national context in both academic and public libraries

 

Her previous positions include:

•  IT Manager, Bournemouth Libraries which included leading on the PFI Project (IT Services).
•  ICT Development Officer for South East Museum Library and Archive Council with responsibility for developing a regional strategy for museums, libraries and archives

 

Linda is active in the profession, including:

•  member of the Libraries Marketing Network
•  member of CILIP's Communities Services Group (CSG) National Committee: Editor of the new CSG Journal; Umbrella programme co-ordinator for CSG; organising and facilitating a regional CSG Community Profiling Workshop.

 

A key focus throughout her career has been an emphasis on delivering quality services to customers.

 

Title: Profiling, consulting, marketing and evaluating: Bournemouth Libraries

Summary: Bournemouth Libraries is an award-winning and progressive service. The presentation will describe the work that Bournemouth Libraries has undertaken in profiling, consultation, marketing and evaluation. It will also look at the national picture and show how Bournemouth puts customer service at the heart of its service delivery.
