LESLEY GLAISTER
Biography:
Lesley Glaister was born in Wellingborough
and is married to writer Andrew Greig, dividing her time between
Sheffield and Orkney. She was the Cheltenham Literary Festival's
first Annual Writer in Residence 2001-2002 and she currently teaches
a Master's degree in Writing at Sheffield Hallam University.
Lesley is the author of nine novels including Honour they Father
, winner of the Somerset Maugham and a Betty Trask award, Easy
Peasy , Sheer Blue Bliss and most recently Now
you see me which was longlisted for the Orange Prize.
She has also staged a play, Bird Calls , commissioned by
the “Crucible Theatre” in Sheffield in 2003. She visited
Australia two years ago and spent some time driving through the
Outback, her experience of which partly inspired her to write As
far as you can go . Lesley Glaister will be doing events
across the country during publication.
