JIM JACKSON

Biography: Jim Jackson works for the Library and Information Service at the University of Exeter as a Principal Library Assistant.   He is a member of the National Committee for Affiliated Members and has been closely involved with the development of the Framework of Qualifications.   Jim is on the FoQ Steering Group and has also been working on the pilot project for the ACLIP.   He aims to offer practical assistance on completing the required application forms.

Title: Almost everything you've ever wanted to know about ACLIP: An opportunity to listen and discuss various aspects of ACLIP.

Summary: This session starts with a brief look at the background to the Framework of Qualifications.   There then follows an introduction to the format of the Certification process, leading you through the Personal Statement and Development Plans and other supporting evidence requirements.   Both Category 1 and 2 applications will be focused on.   While time does not allow for in depth analysis it is hoped to give people an introduction to Certification and its benefits.
