DAVID TAYLOR

Biography: David Taylor currently works for the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) in Sheffield and manages a KM project for c50 researchers to make available electronically for the first time historical research material.  He has worked in a number of government departments including the Home Office and DTI and is Secretary of the Government Libraries & Information Group.

Summary: This session outlines the processes used and attendant problems in building a portal for a group of experienced research staff to deliver in electronic form previously inaccessible material.  Also the strategies used to gain buy in for the resource and its future growth and use.
