Title:
Developing cultural leadership : my year as
a Clore Fellow
Summary:
Ciara will reflect on her year as
a Fellow on the prestigious Clore Leadership Programme, a new
leadership programme aimed at building leadership capacity within
the UK cultural sector.
In her
presentation, Ciara will briefly outline the core elements of
the programme, before moving on to reflect on the powerful insights
which the programme has given her - insights on herself, libraries,
the cultural sector and broader society. Ciara aims to use
this session at Umbrella to stimulate debate about the urgent
need to develop a new cadre of public library leaders, who will
recreate the public library to meet the needs of today's communities.
